PTF Mission

The core mission of the Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) here at First Baptist Christian School is to partner with teachers, administration, and parents through effective communication, social events, and intentional fundraising efforts to foster a loving and enriching environment for each family.

Benefits of Membership

While your membership in PTF provides benefits such as discounted or free admission for events throughout the year, here at FBCS we feel the most important benefit of your involvement is the impact it has on your student and their classmates. Research shows that parent involvement makes a quantified impact on student achievement at various levels such as grades, social skills, attendance, mental health, enjoyment at school, and more. You can read more about this research at ptotoday.com.

2019-2020 Goals
  • Execute seasonal social events that encourage family involvement, nurture lasting connections, and foster a stronger sense of school pride. These events include but are not limited to Grandparents’ Day, Dinner Theater, Back to School Bash, and a Family Dance.
  • Present regular and intentional fundraising efforts that assist in the enhanced learning experience for each FBCS student. We are striving to raise approximately $5,000 each semester with opportunities such as Charleston Wrap, Poinsettias, Spring Flowers, Silent Auction, and more.
